But watch out Matto there is no easy ones like Wu in Rachuig. lol.

Just a comment on BrettR post, correct me if I'm wrong, but Ben is not a first year Rachuig bowler is he?? I seem to remember him being at Rachuig-Knox 2000 ... correct????

Matthew, Lindsay and myself will be competeing in our first. In fact, I never bowled a President Shield either, my only claim to fame was 1994 East Coast in Penrith.

Your team doesn't have any lefties, so therefore you won't do any good. Look at the history of Bankstown and the history of rachuig. The left will be huge this year (really when is it not), sorry I don't think your team is a chance, any team with 2 or more lefties will do well.

By coinsidence, QLD has 2 lefties!!!!

NSW Rachuig trials are coming up soon. I really hate to say this but there is too much talent to choose from. 4 Aust reps for starters in Jarrod, Belmo, Frawls and Billy providing they are all having a crack. With some luck the likes of myself, Romeo, Alsopp, Bourke, McRae, Lloyd, Thompson plus many others that escape me atm. Plus more or less an Aussie womens team. If we dont get results this time around then I think we should all hang up the bowling shoes!

PS Where did the Vic teams come last year?? And I hate to say George has a point but a team without lefties are going to struggle bigtime, especially at Bankstown, NSW Open ring any bells!

Its part of the FIQ trial requirements that you compete in President Shield/Rachuig trials, and considering the 4 AUS reps you mentioned, they are old enough (some more than others) to bowl Rachuig.

You are right, you have an extremely strong team, it will certainly be a pleasure playing against the more experienced teams around the country.

I'm not sure what NSW Open you bowled last year but let me cast your memory back 10 months to the final results held at Bankstown.

2nd Andrew Lloyd (left)
3rd Ronald Voukolos (left)

7th George Frilingos (left) - 300 game

9th Brenton Davey (left)

5 lefties in the top 9 and 3 out of 3 in the top 3 places, looks the left is a bit better!!

The results were great to see posted but I am interested to find out if it is the top 7 that are taken for the team. Here in Canberra it is the top five automatically in the team with two selected. If this is the case in Vic can someone tell me who the final seven are to be on the team?
