Good luck to all the above in the next and final trials.

Not wanting to be pedantic but my score should also read 1235 as they put in 192 instead of 193 for the last game. Lucky for me I wasn't in 15th or 16th.

I wish those who made the selection trials good luck in July. I hope that those who did not make it this year will try again next year.

Great to see a good turnout for the trials this year. It was also good to see everyone on the weekend had to work to make the top 15. It made for an interesting last couple of games for a lot of us.

I thought the lack of an announcement with regards to those who made it lessened the usual anticipated excitement for those who were pushing for the fifteen. Maybe I'm the only one who thought that way but it was strange not to have announcements on the weekend.

why does victoria have a 3 month break between rachuig and deveer
trials ? can anyone advise as to why such a long break ? dosen't
appear to leave to much time for fund raising.

The cut for the top 15 for Rachuig may have been challanging but I can't see how the same could be said for De Veer.

I wasn't there on the weekend so I realise that my opinion will not reflect what actually happened but I would be interested in some feedback from these bowlers.

To have to bowl for 2 days just to elimite one bowler to me seems a bit of a waste. On top of that, the fact that the pinfall doesn't carry over to the second round I feel would not create for a very challanging weekend. Why would you bother bowling well especially with the new rules to the averages that will be used at the Nationals? I felt that if one bowler was going to get eliminated, at least carry pinfall over.

Once again, I am just trying to get an idea as to how the De Veer bowlers felt. Anybody offering feedback?

Liz

Can anyone post a full list of scores for everyone that rolled off so the rest of us can see how close things were.
Would be much appreciated.

The average to be used for De Veer is the highest of the following ...

1 Your entering average for the Roll off.
2 Your average at the Roll Off
3 Your entering avg to the Nationals
4 Your All Events average at the Nationals.

Cheers

Spanner

p.s. Can anyone post the entering averages?

I tried out for Rachuig but we where asked before we bowled if we where going to carry pinfall over as u can the Women decieded to cause there was only 15 but was up the Men to see if wanted to carry pin fall over or not. One of the bowlers said no cause wouldn't be fair and u can't change the rules u must go on what the entry form said which was pinfall will not carry over cause someone could then protest.
There's my Say.
Chris

So what are you saying Chris?

The women decided to as there were only 15. If pinfall were to be dropped there would be no point in bowling last weekend. Everyone will still be at the next roll-off, and if it were to be dropped it would be like starting all over again for them

Well done to all the bowlers who made the cut. Well deserved.

All I can say, is it seemed like an interesting weekend.

Sorry I couln't be there!!  :?

I was busy somewhere else ..... :^o

I must have been getting my nails done in preparation for Monday night!

(I know some people are glad that pinfall is dropped ....it means it can be forgotten) 8) 8)

Good luck,
Mike
