Telstar Doubles @ Blacktown

Hello everyone

Well the time has come for the Telstar doubles to start back up again. This is a great scratch doubles league with great bowlers young & old, averages from 180 to 229. We need a few players to make a 14 team league, The season will start next Thursday night 29th Nov 8:30 @ AMF Blacktown.
$36 per player per week.

Teams such as:
Andrew Lloyd & Sam Romeo
Brendan Duthie & Bob Whybrow
Russell Chown & Don McRae
Matt Riley & Adam Goldberg
Henry Vandenberg, John McGrath & Glen Anderson

I would like to congratulate Andrew Lloyd and Sam Romeo for taking out the 2007 season of Telstar Doubles.

It was a close finish with Web and Sam coming in 2.5 points in front of Brendan Duthie & Bob Whybrow, then a furthur 9 points to Don Mcrae & Russell Chown.

There were 5 x 300 games bowled through the year ,Steve McIlwain, Russell Chown, Don McRae, John Clarke and Henry Vandenberg. Also a 279 to Bronwyn Robinson who the Queen of Blacktown Bowl.

We had a great night at presentation last Saturday and will be bigger and better next year good luck to you all and thanks to Les Chown of LC Hoses for sponsoring the Leagues weekly high game awards this is greatly appreciated by all.

Also David Wright's thank you for your donation of a bowling ball from Rebel Tenpin supplies for the first 300 game bowled.

We now have our 14 teams for this season, thanks everyone for your interest and all i can say is bring it on. the competition will be huge. (like a mini tournament each week)

Just so you know if you remember in the first week of reformation there were only 13 teams so we were just down the end social bowling, well our catchup game for round 1 is on the 24th of January a week before the rest of the league gets under way and that is the reason behind Peters comments at the end.
