Has anyone received the taxman's bonus yet or does any one know how there doing it ? ie alphabetically, state by state,numericaly????

all they said was they are doing it in "lumps" and it could take 5 weeks. Not sure how they work out the lumps though.

Not sure what order but here in Mildura (3500) people started receiving theirs last thursday and its still continuing..

the easy way to see if you qualify provided income is under 100k is to grab your assesment notice from 2008 if you have lodged and go A + G - O. If this figure is greater than zero then you qualify. it needs to be a positve figure if its negative you won't get it. The ATO have promised to have them all out by 16th May. It will be in whatever format your refund was. ie if you got a cheque it will be cheque or otherwise go straight into your bank account provided that bank account is still operational.

The actual formula is A + O - G not A + G - O as stated before.

There is not set order for the issuing of the refunds it is by postcode but the postcodes are random.
