Starting to take up bowling again after around 7-8 year layoff, looking for any recommendations about a new ball for a semi roller ?

Just about all the bowling ball companies have good stuff in their mid priced categories. Really depends on the bowler's style which ball might work best for them. It also depends on where you bowl and the conditions you usually see. So before a recommendation could be made, give some stats (approx speed, hi-med-low revs, lane surface type, amount of oil (light, med, heavy)), then a better suggestion can be made.

Thanks for the info, its been awhile since I bowled, used to be around 184+ avg, med revs, med-hvy oil, 16lbs, no idea on the speed sorry, semi roller style

Here's a small list.

Columbia 300 - Wicked, Spirit (dulled), Messenger TEC

Track - Spell, Hextreme (dulled)

Storm - Eraser Boost, Erase It, Thunderflash

Ebonite - Vortex II Trimax, Savage, Stinger 2-piece Sanded

Please take a tip.

Go throw the old ball for a few weeks at different times of the day and weekend and bowling centres and find out whether you want a ball which does more or less than what you have now.

Check if you are happy with the weight, grip and feel of the ball. Eight years is a long time - Hands and bod's do change.

Hope it helps.
