does it do harm to yor ball if you keep repolishing it or keep resurfacing it?
just wanted to know whether is good to repolished/resurface balls....

resurfacing doesnt do harm to your ball unless you resurface it that much that it gets too small and the ball return cant grip it and it wont return. resurfacing is the only way i know off to get rid of those scratches and duts in the bowling ball surface and also(some1 correct me if im wrong) takes some of the oil out of the ball. This is a good thing while only removing i think its like half a millimeter of the balls surface. The only reason you would want to repolish your ball is if it was polished in the first place or you feel that your ball is hooking too much and you need it to go down the lane longer before hooking, if this is not the case i recommend that you get it sanded to 800 grit

I recently bought 2 2nd hand balls a storm trauma er and la nina...as expected from old balls they didnt hook much compared to my new paradigm....will resurfacing the ball bring it back to or at least close to how the ball is when brand new out of the box? or will it forever be different? another question...my trauma is drilled with my ring finger ontop and to the right of the pin and the thumb is kicked out at least 5-6 inches away from the mb....is this layout for the ball to snap and have a longer backend of is it a layout for the ball to hook early and have a long arc? also with the la nina i have read from reviews this ball out of the box is just a hook monster...and yeah trying it last nite it was my straight ball as it didnt hook whatsoever...this one is drilled with the ring finger 1 inch under the pin and the thumb 2 inches right of the mb....what is this layout for?
