TotalBowling is travelling to AMF Bankstown Bowl in a couple of weeks to cover the Junior Interstate challenge - the Presidents Shield, and also the Australian Junior Masters.

Presidents Shield starts on Wednesday 10th July at 1pm, with further play on the 11th (10am) and the 12th (10am), with one team of Boys and one team of Girls representing the following areas of Australia: North Queensland, South Queensland, Northern New South Wales, New South Wales Central, A.C.T. & Southern New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia and Northern Territory. These teams are all competing for the coveted team prizes of Boys Champions, Girls Champions and Overall Champions.

Individuals are also chasing President’s Shield Sports Persons Awards (Male and Female), the President’s Shield Chairpersons Award (Male) and Directors Award (Female) and a spot in the President’s Shield All Star Teams, which is decided by the top 5 averages (Male & Female) bowled during the tournament. To be eligible for All Star honours bowlers must bowl a minimum of 12 of the 18 games over the course of the tournament.

The Australian Junior Masters (Double Elimination format) starts on Saturday the 13th with the girls kicking off at 3pm and the boys at 6pm. All bowlers who dont get knocked out after the first 2 rounds will return on Sunday morning at 9am to decide the 2002 Junior Australian Masters Champions.
