Nominations for Tournaments

Now that the 2009 Queensland Ladies Classic has been put to bed for another year, I thought it might be time to say many thanks to Total Bowling. Many of our nominations for the Classic as well as PM's were received and information was able to get to those bowlers who were interested.

Hard copies were printed but proved practically unnecessary - we distributed these at Twin Tour and a couple of other events but the tournament filled very quickly without the need in most cases.

The Twin Tour bowlers nominate in advance at their previous Tour Stop, but the Twin Tour forum has the advantage of bowlers being able to swap squads and new bowlers/old bowlers are able to see current squad lists etc.

A central person/bowl is thus able to keep track and notify bowlers of any updates to their tournaments .... it enables organisers also to be open and accountable about deposits and reserves and also prize fund adjustments if needed.

Thanks for the site, Jase - it is much needed and appreciated as I feel sure MOST organisers are aware.

Well said Mary.

This site not only helps the organisers to secure more entries but helps all bowlers stay informed of what is happening ie numbers, changes etc.

It would be nice if all organisers of tournaments would realise that by not using this site they are not only hurting their own chances of putting on a successful event but then in turn hurting the people supporting them by not making the event as successful as it could/should be meaning a reduction in prizefunds which then reduces numbers at future events.

Very much a pity, but that said we all owe Jase a great deal of thanks for the continuation and use of this site.
