This weekend on ESPN – Geico PBA Summer Shootout

The sixth annual GEICO PBA Summer Shootout held at Chicago’s 10pin Bowling Lounge will be televised in Australia this weekend.

The first program will air on the Foxtel sports tier at 7pm tonight and in addition to first-run telecasts, all ten of the half-hour shows will re-air on a regular basis.

The GEICO summer series features nine teams of players, each representing a PBA-registered bowling ball brand:

· Ebonite (Jason Couch and Tommy Jones);

· Columbia 300 (Chris Barnes and Dan MacLelland);

· Track (Mike Fagan and Mika Koivuniemi);

· Hammer (Bill O’Neill and Mike Wolfe);

· Brunswick (Sean Rash, Chris Loschetter and Ryan Ciminelli);

· DV8 (Ronnie Russell, Mike Machuga and Brian Valenta);

· Storm (Pete Weber, Jason Belmonte and Osku Palermaa);

· Roto Grip (Wes Malott, Brian Kretzer and Carolyn Dorin-Ballard),

· 900 Global (Brian Voss, Robert Smith and Missy Parkin).

Teams will earn points based upon their finishing positions to determine seeding positions leading into the Baker doubles format stepladder finals. The winning team earns the Manufacturers Cup and team members will share a $45,000 cash prize.

That one ball shootout thing that was on this weekend was rubbish... much prefer real tournaments.

Must agree not riveting at all ,and as far as tvs i think the international challenge from last year is on about its 3rd cycle

Different format compared to last year isn't it? I know the teams events are coming up soon (as described in foxtel) so could be baker format? we will just see. I enjoyed it but it just wasn't long enough. 30 mins goes so fast lol.
