Anyway, my thoughts are leave it out of the state commitee hands and have just a meeting with a rep from each centre at each of the tournaments that way there's no extra travelling - the people are already there....

first of all i wasnt paying anyone out just wondering if there could be a delegate from each centre that could run this circuit and to keep stats and stuff. (i agree the state committe has state things to run.) im also happy to be hobarts rep as i work at moonah bowl and can access phones etc hehe

i believe that committees SHOULD be run by bowlers that get amongst it and know what its like to run things as a bowler and know what its like to work around other dates so tournis dont clash with other things.

if u guys like my idea then i we already have 3 or 4 ppl representing both hobart and launceston. now all we need is a couple from the coast and were in business. now im sure if we tried we can organise some sponsorship and get a system up and running.

id also really like opinions from the states other top bowlers too as they have valuable knowledge to contribute.

lastly i helped htba reps (lyn springer, chris springer and wayne glover) run the hobart B.O.T.Y and it went farily successful with a full field of men (12) but alas only 3 women but that was in one weeks notive and organising. now im not aware of all the tournis around australia so if you guys that do know what on im sure i can relay to lyn, chris and wayne about possible dates for hobart masters that is flexible with bowlers calendars so they might be able to come down and bowl

p.s does anyone have any ideas on a points system that could be used?

Well, Adam, recently the Hobart Masters has been held at the same time as Vic 150/AO, which is on at Easter. As for other weekends, if you speak to Garry Crick on the weekend at the Skins Tournament he should be only too happy to give you a copy of his Tournament Calendar which should be able to provide you with any free dates.
Maybe you should join us on the State Committee too next year Adam with all these ideas of yours?

How goes everything with you.

I will bring my Tournament Calendar with me on Sunday.
It lists the mainland tournaments as well as Tasmanian ones.
It would be good if the H.T.B.A. Masters are on a date suitable for everyone for a change.

If you are not going to socialise with us on Sat night, i will see you on Sunday.
