I would like to thank everyone at Orange Bowl. In particular Aldo and Marissa Belmonte. They run fantastic tournaments... EVERYTIME.
Congrats to Belmo for winning. Bowled fantastic all weekend. The World Bowler of the Year certaintly proved himself to be worthy of the title. A special thanks to the Sponsors. BMW, Ron Bickerstaff from Brunswick and James McGinty from Storm. Thanks again to everyone at Orange and the Tournament Directors... If only the Traffic on the way home was as good at the tournament!
Thanks Stephen

Later Da Cowman!

People observe everything....

Orange was a terrific tournament with many great games over the weekend.

I was and many other people were disappointed with the behaviour of a particular bowler. To be confident is one thing but to be rude and arrogant is another.... To walk deliberately across a lane, actually two lanes is down right RUDE. This bowler wasn't even on this pair of lanes. He bluntly did it to intimidate an opponent. This is school ground behaviour....

People observe every move you make as a bowler especially in a tournament. There was a lot of talk happening in the crowd about this particular bowler, with many negative remarks.

I am not going to name the bowler. People who were at Orange on Sunday, watching the final 8 games will know who this relates to. He confidently did it several times.

Always remember you are judged by your actions and people do remember rude behaviour.

Shellstar

easly one of the best run turnaments out there today and when you are there aldo and marissa really make you feel welcome and part of the family and well done to belmo on the win finally a local has won the tourny lol and congrats to the cowman wasome to watch teh the 300 on the same par woth ya just awsome adnyou did it in from of that massive crowd wot a way to kick of the cerimony once again U THA MAN can't wait till next year c u then. :D

I'd also like to thank Aldo & the team at Orange Bowl for a fantastically run tournament, it was a pleasure to bowl in and I'll deffinately be back year after year.

Congrats to Stephen on the great 300, I was on the pair next to him when it happened, and I've gotta say I was impressed. Well done young fella!

- Alan Shephard.

come in spinner wot an ego you have who cares he was bowling good enough and it was awsome to see him do it he his a very confident and intimidating bowler and very hard to get in front of.

the tournament was great. well run, as all tournaments in orange are. aldo and marrissa are the best.

as for the comments about the bowler intimidating an opponent. its apart of the game, the guy was on fire i think its his right to get excited. i thought it was great to watch. if another bowler doesnt like it then its only their problem if they let it be their problem, part of a good bowlers game is not getting intimidated or not letting it get to them.

BMW Orange Open

On behalf of myself and the team I thank everyone for the kind words. It is always a pleasure to have bowlers come to Orange with great sporting spirit and to witness excellent scoring. The condition was not easy but everyone rose to the occassion.

We truely enjoy running the tournament for the love of the sport, we appreciate all the bowlers that made the effort to be in Orange not only for the tournament BUT for the special presentation for Jason. Special thank you to all bowlers who came from afar to participate.

Next year we are thinking of starting Sq1 at 12noon and Sq2 at 4pm. Should help fill the tournament.

A HUGE concratulations to Steven Cowland for his 300game and the BMW Prize. Could not have happen to a nicer young man.

Aldo Belmonte and crew.

An opinion

Settle down Adam (Dark Assailant) with your comments. As far as I am concerned EVERYONE is entitled to their opinion and freedom of speech is legal in Australia.

Your comment of wot an ego made me laugh.... Walking across a pair on lanes which you're not even bowling on ah hello EGO.

I was mearly pointing out rude behaviour which was not needed. I don't care how good someone is in ANY sport, arrogance is not necessary. I have watched the greatest bowlers in the world bowl in the States and gee what a surprise NONE of them walked across lanes in front of other bowlers. Would you like me to define the meaning of respect for you?

Not only I thought the behaviour was rude so did many other spectators.... Fine if you condone this type of behaviour in sport but I don't. Mmm let's teach our younger bowlers inappropriate behaviour, great idea Adam. That will take them far overseas... NOT.
