Hi Lawrie - is the John Lilley in the Restricted Men an ex Victorian leftie who bowled at Squash Bowl starting not long after the troops landed at Dunkirk?? If he is pls send him my best.

Thx and all the best,

Steve

Hi Steve
I sent an email to John Lilley to find an answer to your question
here is his reply

Hi Carol,
Definitely not the "Lefty who bowled at Squash Bowl",(not even a Lefty) but
I suppose I'll have to own up to being an ex Victorian although it was an
awful long time ago.
Regards,
John Lilley
.

hope that helps
cheers
Carol

Thx Carol - and to John - solved that one for me nice work. The "other" John Lilley was one of only two bowlers in Australia who had a 300 game in 1972 - when it still meant something..it was Squash Bowls first.

Kind regards

Steve
