With all the arguing going around, I'd like to try and lighten the mood. 2009 so far as been a great season for Australian Tenpin Bowling.

Lets look at some of the achievements and great performances for the year.

Jason Belmonte. First Australian Male to ever win a PBA title.
Dominic Barrett. First International player since Paulo Vadles in 1995 to win the Australian Open.
Jeanette Baker: 7 straight South Australian Seniors Classic wins. Dominating win this year.
Dale Fitzgerald. His Maiden "Major" at NSW. Probably the greatest bowling moment of his life, beating a current PBA star bowler by the narrowest of margins.
Paul Trotter after big bowling break comes out and wins the 09 South Pacific Classic.
George (yep, you've had a great year also!:p): Australias first ever televised 300. George is also looking towards Brunswick Australia Cup as his time to say he is retiring again. A month after that we get to see him top 3 at SA Cup. :D

The sport is moving. All of these acheivements have been well deserved because these bowlers have shown impressive performances at these tournaments. We are also seeing very good numbers in junior events this year!

Maybe we sometimes fail to observe the great things that are happening in our sport. Some of the achievements are well known. Others are not. Lets look forward to the rest of the year. With the results so far the seasons end should prove very fun to watch!

What are you looking forward to in the upcomming months?
