Kelmscott Tenpin Bowl wishes to congratulate the bowler on this outstanding achievement for bowling not just one 300 game, but two 300 games in one night.
Not only is this his first and second 300 game, it is also, his highest 3 game series of 815.

This is after the bowler concerened participated in The Western Austrllian Rachuig Trials, and unfourtnatly did not make the team.

The Bowler is Ian Jones.

the scores were verified by, he President of Kelmscott Bowling Association(KBA) Allen Jones, and the Vice President and CVD of KBA Neil Caporn.

Is this a first for Western Australia, one bowler scoring 2x300 games in two consectutive series on the same day?

1x300 game by a bowler in one day is an excellent achievment, but two, is as far as i know, unheard before in Western Australia.

Bill Gardiner - Perth Cup 1992 (i think) - 2x 300s in one day during matchplay.

Bout 15yrs too late sorry.

if he did excellent for Billy and well done 15 years ago, and i can not remember either one for the record keepers to dig out and verify.

According to the TBAL website,

Bill Gardiner did infact bowl 2x 300 games in June 1992, well done Billy

ok has a West Australian done it before?

hmm...
1) 2- 300's bowled, both unopposed
2) Both owled by centre manager with same surname as witness
3) Both games and sries' are personal bests
4) This news is related to us by the individual himself.

5) and the date of bowling.......APRIL 1st hahahaahahahhahahaahahaa

My 1st concern is when one bowls an 815 series with a 300 game, why would he even CONSIDER changing ball?
2nd concern, 213, 300, and 200 doesnt equal 779, but it in fact equals 713.
3rd concern, that someone of the same family has approved these scores. Sounds like a robert mushtare act to me
And finally, This is after the bowler concerened participated in The Western Austrllian Rachuig Trials, and unfourtnatly did not make the team.
I definately wouldnt say unfortunately, nor would i even consider unlucky. Ian Jones' Rachuig Trials average = 185
Two selected bowlers averages 194 and 189. How you can possibly think that your non selection was "unfortunate" ill never know.
That is all i have to say on this matter but im sure others will back up my claims.
Enough said
Cheers

A day like any other, only on this day I would wake early, after all it is Tuesday, bowling night, eager to do well after an ordinary effort last week, I set out for a walk in the morning to clear the cob webs and play the game in my mind.
1st shot wide, hits the six pin, and wham backdoor strike,
always good to catch a lucky break early.
Proceed to find a line and get a few in the pocket, light hits but they all carry,
have 8 straight to this point, the next three solid brooky hits for strikes, much to the amusement of onlookers, can count on me to give people something to laugh at when I bowl.
Nerves almost overwhelming a steady slower approach this time
and a solid pocket hit sees the 10 pin shake and wobble IS IT GONE, IS IT GONE, did i bowl a perfect game before my son? ( only 11 but already has a better shot than me.) and me been chucking them down for nearly 25+ years.
May never know, at this point a truck goes through a puddle and soaks me and I awake from a deep sleep, safe in my bed I check the clock, bugger time to get up for work, another day another unrealised dream, I guess for some of us we will always wonder which day will be the day we achieve.
or will the truck get us every time.
Did we remember to change the batteries in our smoke alarms.

This just seems a little to convenient for me.....

1.) Pre Bowled....In the centre that the said bowler manages and father owns.
2.) Father is witness to the scores.
3.) Just happens to be bowled on the 2006 Rachuig Condition, the same day said bowler doesnt make the 2007 Rachuig Team.
4.) Bowled the same day that said bowler average under 190 for Rachuig Trials
5.) Said bowler changes balls after 815....his personal BEST.. (I would have taken the ball to bed!...Not swapped it for another one)
6.) Said bowler averaged 159 on same condition at Rachuig

I may have slightly if you asked me when I wasnt concentrating believed the first one....but the story just doesnt fit to me.

Sorry......

no, this is not a april fools joke, I was prebowling, as we have numerous staff members over at the Junior Nationals, and i had authorisation from the league managament committee to pre bowl unopposed. the first round of bowling is to be against Cameron Lazic, he has already prebowled for that week, as he is in Altona for the junior nationals and as such, i would be bowling un-opposed on the night, and the second week and last week of the league, i would be bowling against a vacancy score, again un-opposed.

The first series was witnessed, yes by Allen Jones, an accredited HP2 Coach, the President of out local centre based association, and also my coach and father, the second game however, was witnessed by Neil Caporn, our local centre bassed association's Vice President and CVD.

Allen Jones, is also currently in Altona Victoria as part of our centres junior's travel group to the nationals.
Allen, flight was 12:05 am 2 apr.

All phases of the pre-bowl was done in accordance with the leagues constitution which states all pre-bowls must be witnessed by either a league executive committee member, or a Kelmscott Bowling Association Committee member.

So in your mind 213 + 300 + 200 is still 779?

Hmmmm..... still somethings not right here

The 2006 Rachuig pattern put down at KTB must have been tough like the apparently "tough that you'll have to work hard for scores" pba pattern put down at the youth trials a couple of years ago. That was a joke with 4 out of the 6 on or over the card. Yes this is a couple of years back, but people don't forget.

Unfortunately its hard to believe anything that comes out of that bowl anymore

And to cap it off, when you woke up youd eaten the fridge and married the pope, me thinks youre sniffing what you should be spraying under your arms.

So in your mind 213 + 300 + 200 is still 779?

It was verified by....so 213+300+200 now equals 779 people..... remember this it could be the difference between you cutting or not in your next tournament.
