At last night's Holt Challenge Inc AGM the delegates endorsed the introduction of a Classic Challenge into the 2008 carnival. The Holt Challenge Inc Committee look forward to expanding this event to include Classic grade bowlers in a new look scratch event. This event will cater for the bowlers we regard as being fringe bowlers, ie too high an average for the Darrell Holt Restricted Challenge and yet not quite up to the Rachuig type scratch event.

This will be an event for the fringe bowler.

The rules, regs and schedule for this event will be available shortly.

Congrats to all the Winners and from what I have been told over the Mobile the event was a HUGE success. Hopefully the Classic division will make this a truly big carnival for the average bowlers of Australia. This event can only get bigger and better as long as TBA are not involved.
Well done PC and the rest of the volunteers behind the scene.:D
The TBA board should have a close look at how to run a National event for the average bowlers.
And while we are on the subject how come the results on the TBA website dissapeared after 24 hours. I was under the impression that the Committee paid $700.00 to have this event registered which should give them all the rights to have scores displayed on the TBA web site. But like usual TBA collect monies and then give nothing back in return. Maybe it is time for the bowlers to SACK the current board & CEO and put into place a board that will acknowledge the average bowlers(the bread & butter of our industry) thru-out Australia.

Thats great news Well done all

Congrats. to all concerned - obviously good planning, good organisation and good bowling and the addition of a Classic Challenge is such a huge step forward as these bowlers probably make up the biggest competitive group in our sport ..... the time could come that this Carnival may provide Challenge teams in all divisions, Restricted, Classic, Open and Seniors !!!!

A special congrats. to Twin Tour bowler, Mathew Carey, for his great Carnival - he has been steadily improving and he reaps the reward. Well done to other Twin Tour bowlers, Tegan Meads, Anne Smith, Clare Shepherd and Clayton Flood who have represented their State for the first Darryl Holt Challenge ....
