DETAILS OF THE INTERSCHOOL CHALLENGE 2003 PRIMARY DIVISION

Dates
• Qualifying Stage will be conducted on 25 May 2003
• Finals will be conducted on August 10 2003
• Training for schools can commence at any time pending on availability of coaches for your school

Format
• Once schools have registered they will be placed into a zone with other schools within close proximity
• Qualifying Stage will be conducted on 25 May at 1 or 2 venues within South East Queensland.
• Teams will bowl 5 games on the day.
• The top schools from each zone will then qualify for to participate in the Finals on Sunday 10 August at a venue to be decided upon as yet. Teams will once again participate in 5 games.
• The event will be a Pay as You Play system therefore it will be critical to have a convenor looking after the team to ensure all finances are accounted for prior to participating. Game costs will be within the range of $3.00 plus GST.
• TBAQ are currently networking with several companies to assist with the financial costs associated with participating. TBAQ will inform schools of any sponsorship to assist with participating.

Numbers
• 5 person teams
• Can be male, female or both
• No age constraints – the best bowlers should be chosen

Prizes
• The winning team will receive the following
• Perpetual Shield
• Medals / Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed teams
• Other prizes are being organised by TBAQ

• A fully comprehensive Information Pack with all the details of the event will be forwarded to your school approximately 1– 2 weeks after the closing date (15 April 2003)
• The Information Pack will include the Competition Structure, School Allocations, Rules and Regulations and other information to assist your school.
• The Information Pack will detail locations for the Qualifying stage and the venue for the Finals

DETAILS OF THE INTERSCHOOL CHALLENGE 2003 SECONDARY DIVISION

Dates
• Regional Qualifying will be conducted on Sunday 1 June 2003
• State Finals will be conducted on Saturday 16 August & Sunday 17 August 2003 in Brisbane
• Training for schools can commence at any time pending on availability of coaches for your school

Format
• Schools will be placed into regions based on Education Queensland Sport Regions as close as possible.
• Schools will then participate in the Regional Qualifying stage. If there are not enough teams regions will be combined. This will be a one day event involving 5 games, however Regional Qualifying can be flexible based on specific requirements of the schools. This will be held at one bowling centre within the Region.
• The top school/s from each region will then participate in the State Finals which will be a two day event – 16 & 17 August 2003. Participants will bowl 10 games.
• The event will be a Pay as You Play system therefore it will be critical to have a convenor looking after the team to ensure all finances are accounted for prior to participating in any Stage of the competition. Game costs will be within the range of $3.00 - $4.00 including GST. TBAQ are currently networking with several companies to assist with the financial costs associated with participating.

Sponsorship
• TBAQ are currently seeking sponsorship for the event to assist with travel costs associated to participating in the State Finals. TBAQ will inform schools in the future about any sponsorship available.

• Below are the regions that have been developed for the Interschool Challenge. Each school will be connected to a bowling centre which falls into one of the following regions
