    Bathurst...Holden Or Ford

Haha yeah i must say i wouldn't complain if someone gave me an American V8, that's for sure! Respect to Murphy, the only Holden to keep himself off the scrapheap. Top effort to have 6 Fords in the top 7, just missing that all important position 1! Glenn Seton's engine was remarkably like...

    next year???

My goal would definitely be to have enough money to practice each week. It is the most frustrating thing to bowl once a week in league, knowing how much better i bowled when i could actually afford to practice once upon a time! Money doesn't bring happiness? I don't believe it!! :P

    Bathurst...Holden Or Ford

It's a shame Holden don't have the talent to build V8's, and have to import from the US. Give me the sound of a beautifully built, Australian Ford V8 anyday of the week over a Chevy. Why might Jason Bright be driving a Ford next year? It's simple: BA Falcon - Australia's Best Family Car...

    Bathurst...Holden Or Ford

Ford all the way! It's been a long time between drinks, since 98 when Brighty one it. Now after a few tough years, Stone Brothers finally have created a dominate Ford team! Ambrose has won the title in 2003, now all that's left is to win the great race itself. Good luck to all the Ford's for the...

    Lane Conditions hard or easy

I remember someone in the ultimate situation, who bowled in a notoriously harder AMF centre, as well as a higher scoring centre. This allowed them to perfect their accuracy in a difficult environment, while seeing the results from their effort when bowling at the higher averaging centre...

    Victorian Junior Country Championships

Yeah i seem to have stumbled across that without even noticing! I think what Dan and Rob have suggested is probably the most logical road to take at the moment. One question i have is what were the numbers like at Senior Country Champs? I guess it's no easy thing to implement though. How many...

    Victorian Junior Country Championships

Yeah i remember Sonja was pretty cut about still having to pay that year. In hindight, Sale bowlers probably made up a lot of the field that year in Ballarat. Since then, not many of those bowlers bowl in Sale anymore, and i'm not sure whether the younger juniors have much idea about what...

Belmo and Walshy qualify easy at British Open

Top effort Belmo! 4th place in the British Open isn't too shabby!

    Victorian Junior Country Championships

It's sad to hear of the lower numbers, as i remember this tourney being a lot more popular when i was a junior. My last one was a few years back in Ballarat, it was a lot of fun. I remember i was stoked at winning a few medals against country vic's best! Anyway, congrats to everyone that...

    Big backswings.

Sadly, i don't have much of an idea about this either. Actually, i'd like to add to that a query about 'increasing' the size of the backswing, as opposed to decreasing! I've always been told i have a relatively short backswing. So, like Jane, I would be interested in finding out how much effect...

Who Has The Best Center In Victoria And Who Has The Worst???

Sorry Chucky, but the question did ask about the best and the worst centres. I can't say that i've bowled in every centre round the place, but Shep certainly was a quality venue. In the city, probably go with Ed Fleming or Moorabbin. In the country, i would actually have to say that Morwell is...

Who Has The Best Center In Victoria And Who Has The Worst???

When we talk about the worst centre in Victoria, I'd just like to defend Morwell. I'm sure Joe would hate to see his lanes branded Victoria's worst! It can be a tough gig in country centres, as i'm sure everyone is aware. I know that Joe is putting in a lot of effort to get Morwell's lanes up...

    Training habits

Hey guys and girls. Just wondering what sort of training everyone does each week for their bowling? I would love to improve my game, so I was wondering how many games some of you bowl per week, and what other training you might do?

What single pin do you struggle on?

Yeah for me it is most certainly the 7 pin. That is the only single pin that i sometimes feel a bit unsure about. As a right hander, its mostly alright, but often i will give it too much room and see it rocking from side to side mockingly in the breeze! :P

Sale Tenpin Cup 1st $1000 Guaranteed

Hey don't worry grumpie, there's a lot of disorganised people out there like myself, who fully intend to enter, but haven't as yet! In no time, i reckon there will be a fairly impressive field. Looking forward to it myself, anyway.

Well done Paul Trotter and David Porto

What a great effort by the two Victorians that made the cut at the Melbourne Tenpin Cup! Paul Trotter was dominant during matchplay. Had day two of qualifying gone his way, he would have been well in contention for the title! But another consistent performance, highlighting why he is one of...

Sale Tenpin Cup 1st $1000 Guaranteed

Great to see this tournament up and running! I can't wait to be a part of it. Just wondering what kind of format it will be? I'll hopefully drop by and pick up an entry form on Friday. Keep up the good work! Ryan Crawford

    PORTO BOWLS HIS FIRST 300!!!!!

That is a great effort Porto. Did the sprinkler appear anytime during that game? :P You've got the big hair, the big show and now the bloody big game and series to top it all off! Hope to see many more from you in the future. Well done again mate!

    South Pacific centre qualifying fairness

I think brendan makes a very valid point. It seems to me that the win a spot format is designed for AMF league bowlers who may not be regulars on the Super 6 circuit, but would love the chance to mix it with the big boys in a quality tournament such as the SPC. So, as such, bowlers competing...

    Balance at the line

Despite my greatest endeavours, i seem to be consistently dropping my right shoulder and falling off my shot. Yet generally when i am sparing, this is not the case! This is probably a tough proposition given that you might have to see me bowl to actually find a solution. But just wondering...

    Vic Classic Circuit @ Moorabbin

haha yeah obviously that was fantastic as well! I only had the matchplay scores at my disposal, sorry! Just trying to give everyone some idea of what happened on the weekend. My apologies to Dan, that is an awesome effort.
