Western Australian Sports Series Event #2

Good day all

I am pleased to announce the 2nd stop on the WA Sports Series. The details are as follows, entry form will be released once i have TBA Accreditation details.

Date: August 19 2007

Venue: AMF Cannington (cnr Burton & Manning rd, Cannington)

Time: Check in 9:30 am for a 10:00am sharp start

Format: 8 games qualifying
Cut to top 5
3 v 4 v 5 - Highest Game advances
Winner v 2nd - Highest Game advances
Winner v 1st - Highest game wins (1st place has right to repecharge)

Entry Fee: $100

The prize fund will be confirmed once sponsors and TBA Accreditation have been taken into account.

As per last event, there will be additional prizes for:

Highest Placed Junior - $50
Highest Placed Female - $50
High Game - $50
High Block - $50
1st 300 game - $200 (this has jockpotted from the 1st event as no 300 was bowled)

If you wish to bowl, please leave your name and TBA number in this thread.

WOW, thanks to the Parkview Luxury Apartments in Brisbane for their fantastic contribution. It's really great to see that people in other states do so much to help their fellow bowlers out.

Entry form for the 2nd WASS event is currently being finalised and will be out soon :)

Going on last week's awesome 'calamity' John effort-
If you can slam your head in your car glove box, walk into a wall, poke yourself in the eye with a drinking straw and set fire to the carpet, I think you've got the $1k and the winner's cheque in the bank. You'll be unstoppable!

Just a quick not to all people who are considering bowling this event but dont have their names down yet, at this stage, the field is restricted 36 bowlers. However, with enough interest, i will extend this number. There are 29 names down at this stage so please keep the interest coming guys.

Matt, I have another very interested sponsor to add the other 500 to Parkveiw Apartments generous offer for the mens 300 game making $1000.
but they have asked the question of is the WASS an association, where will there cheque be made out to and how much coverage/advertising will this entitle them to, so I guess maybe a constitution, and maybe a WASS bank account would be an idea so we can also offer them piece of mind and our own security, in recieving sponsorship money. I have my feelers out for another 2 sponsors, but it would make it alot easier and convincing to them if i have something solid to offer them.
