Well, we have come to the end of another season....(this report has been a long time coming, my apologies for the delay!!)
Once again, I'd like to thank our major sponsor, Bowling Balls Australia. They have been our partners for the last two years and continue to support the Tenpin Bowling industry by providing great products at great prices. Please continue to support them.
Also thanks go out to AMF and Printak for their contributions to the successful running ofthe Series this year.
13 bowlers turned out for the final event of 2009 held at AMF Cross Road. A challenging pattern was laid and it was good to see the competitive spirit amongst the group.
The event was won by Tony Stoppel (wins from all starts, if you don't mind!) but he had to fight for this one. 3rd qualifier Al Przybysz successfully got through his first stepladder match, then went on to defeat 2nd qualifier Joel Lovegrove by a single pin.
He was wishing for an easier match against top seed Tony Stoppel, but he didn't get. An array of different strikes ensued, and after regulation 10 frames, scores were locked at 203 a piece. A sudden death roll-off occurred, and after the 3rd ball, Tony finally took the title, XXX to XX7.
A big congratulations goes to Danny Ross for winning the Pointscore tally, and was awarded a $750 gift voucher compliments of Bowling Balls Australia. He finished 2 points clear of Steven Doecke ($500 gift voucher) and 5 points ahead of a fast finishing Al Przybysz ($250 gift voucher).
