What was the outcome of the meeting guys???
How will the league be run?

Hi Jase,

The league will be run at 8:00pm on Wednesday nights starting next week (17th). 4 x Games for $32.

90% of 220 is the Handicap. The league will be head-to-head, not 6 player matchplay as previously discussed. If more than 48 bowlers turn up next week, then you will obviously not get to play everyone, but you should only play a person once throughout the year.

Points system is as follows (head-to-head):
2 points per game for a scratch win (1 point for a tie)
2 points per game for a handicap win (1 point for a tie)
2 points per series for a scratch win (1 point for a tie)
2 points per series for a handicap win (1 point for a tie)
Peterson Points for your handicap series

...so if you win all four games, scratch and handicap, plus obviously the overall, and shoot 900 with handicap, your points for the week will be 29.

Unlimited subs, no new subs/bowlers in the last 6 weeks. A sub must not have an average more than 20 pins higher than your league average. 8 pre-bowls per year.

If I have missed anything speak to Luke Rafton (league president).

So we'll see you down there next week then? ;)

Paul

All looks really good Paul except for the fact that you may not play everyone once...In a big money league it needs to be a level playing field or as close as possible to one...If there was a way around that i would be in for sure... I am still undecided at this stage mate...Thanks for the quick reply!

well what a great league just 6 days yay can't wait glad to be part of one of the biggest leagues around

Start time is just around the corner alright.......
It was great to see all who came last Wednesday for the fomalities and am looking forward to next Wednesday to see you all....
What a great league it turned out to be, without a doubt.....
I realise some are still hesitant in joining us especially in light of the size of the League.....common sense prevails and it will be impossible to match everyone up head-to-head, BUT I say this, let it be so! I am excited just to be part of this Big League and am looking forward to the competition, the challenge, the anticipation......
The update of our league members to date is posted below......
Can anyone tell me....has there ever been a league anywhere with over 70 members?
Let's bowl!

Look like a strong league.

Nice to know Totalbowling.com.au could be of assistance to help generate numbers for the league.

Not a bad effort, 50+ of the 76 have entered it though the site.

Nice work TB members.

Sorry Jase,
I have not forgotten you for a minute, in fact if it was not for your site and the forum, I could not have reached out to most of the bowlers who are dedicated to your site and are on the list of bowlers in this league.
Inexcusable on my part, so to set the records straight
THANK YOU VERY MUCH to you and all your admin staff at TotalBowling.com.au
