Hi Bowlers

We have some great news to fill you in with regarding this years Orange Audi Open. We have been brought to attention and have discussed with our tournament committee and sponsors regarding to a slight change to our format for Stage 2 on the Sunday. The top 32 bowlers after 6 games Sunday will now cut to top 16 bowlers and will now bowl another 6 games plus 1 Game position round.

Having the Position round will be a great way for finishing the event and should add to some excitement for Spectators and Sponsors.

I have attached a new entry form with current changes that has been made.

You people how haven't paid their deposits, please pay by 10th April or reserves who have paid their deposits will move up in the tournament. Trust me you don't want to miss it, so get moving guys.

how about after top 16 instead of position round being straight afterwards we include a top 8 matchplay, 7 games 20 for win and then position round in game 8

A quick note on the format change. The sponsors have told Aldo that they will be coming along on Sunday. The format change means that more players get to bowl longer and the positional round puts all the players with a shot at the title together for the last game. It'll be a hell of a show for everyone!

And still finish in time to beat the traffic back to Sydney!

1st plays second, 3rd plays 4th ........ 15th plays 16th. So if your within a few pins of the higher plaings you can take the next higher position with a good win.

i think the position round is stupid, it ruins the tradition of the tournaments history, for the last 10 years plus i have bowled in this tournament, the top 8/10 have been decided in the last 2 to 3 games creating great suspense for everyone, if you only have around 20 pins between the top 4 it will come down to frame to frame bowling, which this sport is missing in this country right know.

just a shame we couldn't keep a traditional tournament the same
