Tenpin Bowling Australia will be conducting, for the first time, a Seniors (Over 50s) Championships as part of Nationals 2003 in Townsville.
Singles, Doubles and Teams events will be contested between 25th October and 8th November 2003. There will also be the introduction of a National Intercentre Cup for 5 person teams of Seniors bowlers which is modelled on the same event currently run at Junior Nationals. Any Bowling Centre in Australia may enter a men’s, women’s or mixed team in the event which has qualifying over 2 days prior to the final. It is hoped that another New Zealand Team will join this particular competition. The Seniors Cup and the introduction of a Super Seniors Cup (Over 60s) will ensure a variety of events on offer for all Seniors players.
Currently timetables, sponsorship and entry forms are being finalised. More information will be made available shortly.
