Is there really any difference these days? each manufacturer makes super soakers, mid range, and low range balls. I think the next big thing in bowling comes down to which company brings out the next ball with some amazing hook rating. Funny thing though, i see people with the new balls and quite often they are still playing an extreme outside line and they wonder why the ball doesnt carry. When did matching a ball to your conditions and your game go out the window?

for the last 6 yrs or so i have been using zone balls and they have been working for me

they have worked for my brothers since they started bowling as well

Track all the way !!!!! :D :D :D

I bowled a 299 last year with my EMB the besr ball ever made

the new freak is a really good ball as well

A balls a ball

you drill it for a purpose

the brand doesnt matter, the drilling layout and coverstock does\

But saying that I own 2 storm balls and no track

People, People, PLEASE

As popular critics rave, Storm and Track are both amazing companies!!! I ahve a Storm Shock Trauma and just recently bought the Mutant, by accident eh LOL. I lean towards Track, i really do like both the companies, but i am a Track mate. Love their bowling balls, most of them are effective. Now, if someone todl me to reccomend Storm or Track, i couldnt tell you. :( Still, Track is my favarite Company along with Columbia 300 AAF. Also, look out for me when i make my way Down Under, i will hope to present a healthy challenge to you Aussies!!! :p lol. Take care everyone and happy bowling.

BTW. My typing is horrible as you can tell in my past posts, youll ahve to exvuse the errors, as i am a pathological typer and make mistakes CONSTANTLY. hehe.

i agree wit usa, track and storm are both amizing compaines, but i would ahve to say ebonite the have brought out some amazing balls over the last few months and i wills tick with them all the way.

GO EBONITE

Hello

BTW. Any post by Simon Strasburg is a horrible bowler and helicopters the ball down ther lane! If it had propellers, it woud fly! HAHA, j/p. Simon is right. Ebonite is good. I have the Apex Aggression, very good ball. I still like Track, and Mankind is right. You drill a ball to get it to do waht you want. Plastic balls can get 300's too you know! lol. Good luck and bad bowling for Simon! lol

Hey, well you cant really say wot is better bcoz all bowling balls do the same thing, its just as james said... its how its drilled and its coverstock. But i have to admitt i like storm (thats why i own three storm balls) but i did have 2 track balls before hand. And they all went pretty much the same.. until i changed my style. But as i have heard Track is great for lefties and storm is for crankers. But who said u had to be a cranker to use a storm.. or a leftie for a track in that matter? oh well a ball is a ball.

A Cranker to use Storm?? i'm a stroker through and through, and i love Storm, all my balls are Storm, however, when you got Andrew Frawley running your pro shop, you dont get much of a choice as to which company you get to use...
However, James is right, 70% of the balls reaction comes down to the Coverstock, and the brand name wont affect that reaction. It's up to what finish you put on the ball, to hopefully match the drilling which is on it, then finding the right condition to use it on. No point throwing a polished Flame when they are flooded, and same to throwing a Dull X-Factor Duece when they are burnt.

Later Da Cowman!

Hmm, it's kinda touchy about coverstocks. Been a few balls released in the last 5 years that have bombed because the core and coverstock combination wasnt right and let it down. (hmm is it just me or have a few of these major bombs come from faball in the last couple years?). I think it's alittle hit and miss with some balls that come out here, some get some rave reviews overseas but perform terrible out here, vice versa is true (some bowlers, reguardless of style seem to be able to get them to work, while others just cant). Ohh well, in my opinion which ever company gets the most publicity across to you (either from your driller or from reviews / word of mouth) usually ends up as your prefered choice.

Systematic??

Track for lefties? and Storm for Crankers??

From what I have seen the storm balls do seem to react a little better for those with a bit of hand in the ball...... Not nessarily Crankers tho.......

But Track for lefties?? thats gotta be stoopid....... I can understand how a ball may suit a stroker to a tweener to a cranker but from left to right?? Surely Not

Mike Muir is using Storm gear right now, and looking good, but it wasnt that long ago he was kicking asses with nothing but track gear.... Then again the guy could probably bowl with a White Dot and still beat most......... hehehe

Im using Storm gear........ but thats coz Mr Foster is all good :)

I have to say that Ebonite is the best, I don't use Storm OR Track. GO EBONITE ALL THE WAY

Bowl to Win :D :D :D

Ill jump on the bandwagon (ignoring my last posts) Columbia300 is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. From the Wine U Dot to the Mighty Rock On, nothing can top them

Ballz Ballz Ballz

Im going to have to agree with Levi!!! YES!!! Columbia ahs produced the most consistant balls, some have been off the charts and some have been jsut normal. I persoanlly liked the REaction series. I owned all of them before but my favarite was the Roll. The core in combination with the MegaTEC, it was unbeatable. I averaged jsut around 250 at most tournaments i went to when i used that ball (Heavy Oil ONLY!). But now i ahve moved on to Track. Track has by far produced the MOST IMPRESSIVE line of bowling balls so far, the Freak Line. I ahven othing agaisnt Storm, i throw a Shock Trauma. The Trauma series is EXTREMELY impressive as well, but i am leaning to Track for the near future. Until Col 300 start going back to producing Mass Production bowling balls, i have to say i will stick to Track and Storm, amazing combination. Good luck in bowling everyone!

BTW. In previous posts, i must say, tehre is no advantage for a lefty over a righty and vice versa. The only slight advantage a lefty would have is havign the other side of the lanes all to himself/herself, but that can change if there is more than one let on a pair. And you cant get a Plastic ball to hook 30 boards on heavy oil. Coverstocks and drillings do matter, but no matter what way you drill a plastic ball, it will not outhook a Resin, Proactive, or Particle. Thx.

well i have a track and a storm and i would have track i have only had it for about 3 weeks and i am already ave 180-185 with it but storm are still good it all depends on the bowler and what he wants to do with the ball and it also depends on how the ball is drilled

Clint,

I didnt say that lefties use track and crankers use storm. I think i did say AS I HAVE HEARD... hehe dont matter. Besides I have 3 storms and i dont crank the shit outta the ball.

I know you got a few storms too, seeing as though u manage to bowl a blaze better than me, and get more on it and so on. Muir bowls well wif the storms, lovin that X-Factor Duece as well, it looks heaps nice.

But just to clear it up that saying is from wot i got told.. i think i said that. Also did say that i have had 2 track balls, TKO and Assasain, Awesome balls...
