Warnambool

Tenders closed last Thursday, with 4 definite bidders.
The local newspaper reported last Saturday that a decision should be forthcoming by the end of this week.
That's all we know at this stage, hope it helps

At this stage we still plan to hold Jnr Country Cup in September, and will continue to plan for it until we know our future. Hopefully it is a bright one.

Hope the new owners, who ever they are, keep the bowl.

Great place to bowl, have many a fond memory of bowling in this centre. Best of luck in keeping he bowl going.

We all have our fingers crossed for you.

Fingers crossed that the Warrnambool bowling lanes remain open and viable. Would be a shame to see them go, have some good memories of the place and will always be fondly remembered as the place where I made my Country Cup debut.

The 300 was bowled by 62 y.o. Mike Herrin.
Mike is part of the Warrnambool Senior Shield team.
The bowl has still not sold, although I believe negotiations are still taking place with 2 potential buyers.
Rumour has it that 2 separate parties are also looking at the possibiltiy of relocating the the centre, should it be demolished.
Here's hoping
