Temper tantrums - Noarlunga

The 300 bowled this weekend shows clearly that the lanes at Noarlunga are perfectly playable. Perhaps they could do with a bit of tidying up but we'll leave it there. It also shows, clearly, that the bowlers who are dumb enough to believe their shot is perfect and it's the lanes fault that they don't strike/spare/whatever are full of cr@p.

Yeah, but look at the unconventional way you have to bowl to shoot a 300 there.
Obviously as Bill never bowls there he is oblivious to the fact that your not suppose to (or cant) shoot those scores there.

It's obvious that you weren't there yesterday.
As for the right handers there was no shot for those that couldn't handle oil to the pin decks.
The left hand side was a lot dryer thats for sure.
Even Colin Hunt was searching for a shot only to be moving deep inside and even then being a little inconsistent because a fraction too far wide , it stayed there or a bit short it took off.

Unfortunate noarlunga has been left out of the circle for upgrades and oiling machines (Why is that AMF Facilities.).

The lanes are far from perfect, Billy had the right shot and equipment for the day.

Cheers

Tony

Name & shame  - who you calling Dumb & full of Crops (whatever that means - I thinkin you are talking about wheat crops ).

It is VERY obvious that Mr mongoliantreesloth was not at Noarlunga Bowl yesterday.... The lanes are a joke and for only 1 - 4 bowlers each game out of about 36 managing to get 200 or better pretty much says it all - Geeeeeeeeeeez AMF do something about the lanes...

As the only regular Noarlunga bowler at the ATBSO tournament on Sunday I can confirm that, as previous posts have indicated, the conditions for right handers were very poor - much worse than the usual. For Monday evening league bowling they were just as bad if not worse and the scores were abysmal. On Tuesday morning the techs discovered that the machine was not cleaning the right side of the lanes. They rectified the problem and the scoring on Tuesday evening was very significantly higher. Why does it take complaints from bowlers who have wasted their time and money for such problems to be fixed? Surely regular machine maintenance should prevent these problems. Does the same happen elsewhere? Having said all that the techs can only do so much with these ancient wooden lanes. We have been waiting for many years for Noarlunga to go synthetic - and (AMF) we are sick of being treated as the poor relations. It's about time you spent some money and fixed the centre.
