On the subject of the State Champs I'd just like to add a special thanks to a few people.
Glenda Barry and Nell Weir who worked non-stop in the Tournament room, Peter Martin who put in a volume of work on the Masters and the new Friday night event, Jason Pearson who always seems to come up with new sponsorship offers, and all the staff at Aspley where nothing is too much trouble.
There will be heaps of other people I've probably missed out (I do forget things on occasion) so if I have missed you I'm sure someone will remind us.
The Masters entries were well up on last year which is always a good sign for the future, but what shone through most though was the incredible standard of bowling.
From the youngsters right through to the wrinklies it was a joy to watch. Thank you Queensland - that was a really enjoyable Championship.
