Stage 2 is in two weeks where the top 5 will be automatically in the team and a further 2 selected. Men play 15 games of matchplay, Women play 11 over two days.

Someone from De Veer will need to post their results as I do not have a final sheet. thanks!

:D congratulations to everyone who made the cut. As for those who didnt hopefully all will be back next year for another shot. Its a pity they have to cut at all - a comp over the 3 days in diff centres on diff conditions would be interesting, noone would have a 1st day in home centre advantage! Last years results would have been very diff if 1st day in Ingle Farm didnt cut the pack. As I believe this years would have.

Anyway it was a great day and thankyou to Norwood for laying that beautiful back end after the break - I was considering taking up hockey!! :p

see all in De Veer (and Rachuig) in 2 weeks! I can't wait

How many tried out for the Male / Female teams?
What did you use to entice them with?

Hi Stax

There were only 12 Rachuig women try out and 24 men.

And as for what was used to entice people to bowl.... Obvisouly NOT enough hey.... With a couple of TOP guys not rolling off this year it certainly makes the guys team look a tad different. And a couple of gals that didnt try out for whatever reasons....

This year SA is surely to look different..

Hope this sheds some light on it for ya Stax
Cheers!
Martina :D

24 Men, thats quite impressive. WA will be lucky to get into double figures. The Women lucky to get a full team.
Thanks for the info Martina.

Stax, since you have shown such interest in the WA RAchuig Trials I gather you will be trying out and helping to build numbers?

I dont bowl Rachuig. Last time was 1988. The famous year of Selection. So, no I wont be bowling Rachuig.
