Qld State AGM

Andrew S.

Gold Coast
The Qld. State AGM will be held in Sports House on 8th February (Sat) 2003.
Further details will be posted shortly.
Andrew Shinnie.
TBAQ.

The AGM will commence at 9.00am. (This is where the election of the Board of Directors takes place and exciting financial reports and budgets are read out.)
This is expected to take about 2 hours.
Following the AGM will be another meeting, the Qld South Adult Committee meeting.
As Queensland North now have their own Rachuig, De Veer and Youth Teams, they will hold their own separate NQ Adult Committee meeting at some stage in the future.
The main purpose of this Adult meeting is to receive reports from managers, coaches and captains of all the State teams (Gail please note there is a time limit on reports), and also to elect a committee for 2003.
There will also be major administrative changes to the operation of financial accountings for these teams due to the upgrading of our accounting processes at Sports House.
On top of all that decisions have to be made and ratified on a revised schedule for the State Championships to allow for the changes caused by
the separation of NQ.
Co-ordinators, Coaches and Managers are generally decided at this meeting.
It is therefore very important that we get feedback from as many tournament and State team bowlers as possible.
This is the best time to put your views across. Most Board members do not have scratch averages, so it is hard for them to think like a scratch bowler. If you can't make the meeting please at least give some feedback on this forum.

Just a reminder to everyone that parking at Sports House sucks.
Don't know what its like on Saturday mornings but the Lang Park construction is a major problem weekdays.
Please indicate to the TBAQ office if you are attending this meeting, the Secretary usually arranges lunch so will need to know numbers.
Tea & Coffee are provided, there are drinks machines and the conference rooms are all air-conditioned.
You can bring your own refreshments if you wish. (If you are used to fine-dining the lunch experiance here will test your ability to adjust to local conditions).

All enquiries will be cheerfully answered by Kelly Warren on 3876 5400.
