NQ QLD State Training Squad

Scott Gillington
Just wondering if anyone is coming to Townsville for the training squad in July?

I have been told by Gail that there needs to be a minimum of 20 people for it to go ahead.

Scott.

Hi everyone - I am hoping the NQ STS can go ahead as I understand the cyclone has impacted on everything up there and will try to keep the squad going - 54 is our breakeven figure to run each of these programs including sponsorships and TBAQ have bridged the gap in its initial year together with TBA membership monies as we do for all development programs - TBAQ expect an initial short fall in our inaugral year so have directed funds to start the STS off.

We will need 20 bowlers minimum confirmed to run the program as we bring specialists and 80 demo balls to each venue - so TBAQ is supporting Qld development - so another example of TBA membership bringing benefits back to bowler level.
An STS team, a network of bowlers and proceedures and programs of training to bring more Qld bowlers to international standards is the objective of these programs. They are a great deal of fun to participate in. I wrote a dream program that would excite anyone that would love bowling at competition level and included other freebies that only sponsored bowlers enjoy!

Once bowlers are members of the STS TBAQ offer free workshops on many subjects, bowler bio's, Training advice and assistance in other ways. It is unusual for bowlers to put pen to paper but when people are passionate about keeping a good thing going we are all one mind. Please enroll today - so we are sure of numbers - we will accept payment on the day - but registrations will need to be in by mid May as airfares and a great deal of work is required prior to each program.

4 international conditions will be laid down - advice on ball layout for each condition, equipment care and maintenance and layout advice by the Ball reps themselves, 80 ball demo - available for you to try - trash the demo balls by changing the surface and then take them to the lanes and throw a few - advice from people in the top 10 National rankings - Men and Ladies, Training and reading lane advice for maximum performance - Matching the bowler - equipment and lane condition included. Small workshops related to on lane performance will be provided also. This is the talent ID process for those wanting to improve tournament performance and also for those persons who wish to be Identified into selection pools for Australian teams. Available in Qld to Juniors (over 160 ave only) Ladies (170 and over) and Men (180 and over) all ages as long as you have met the average criteria!

Please book early -

Gail

I'll be in to boost the numbers....we need more of this kind of training in NQ!
Now, how do I upgrade to a silver membership?

If you are wanting to upgrade to Silver just phone the TBA office on 07 32624455 and Kelly or one of the girls in the office will tell you the process to pay the bridging amount from normal to Silver membership. I currently need another dozen or so people by mid May. I am sending some more advertising material to NQ also. Have had some nice offers of SQ bowlers willing to go up North to participate also will provide an update on numbers in the next week or so.
