After drilling the first 11 strikes tonight during Wellington League at Moonah, the old boy steps up, drills the pocket again flush, only to leave a very nice 8-10 for 298

Just a reminder.... you don't have to be kind to the finger grips... They are replacable

As Andrew so kindly points out , my concern for the sunstainabilty of the earth's resources by being kind to the finger inserts of my bowling ball has cost me the chance of a 300.

That was bad enough but a missed 10 pin at the start of the 3rd game proved costly in my attempt to roll my first 800 series, leaving me on 794......
