Jason Belmonte from NSW has started 2005 with a victory in the SA Cup at AMF Cross Road Bowl in Adelaide.
Belmonte, who qualified 4th, had a bye through the first round before disposing of Alan Notman (3-0), Mac Stewart (3-0), Paul Trotter (3-1) before disposing of George Frilingos 3-1 in the final.
Belmonte averaged 225.46 over 28 games throughout the tournament.
