Some of Australia’s bowlers are overseas bowling in the Mini-Eliminator in the States.

The international players will be well represented in the finals as Canadian Joe Ciach and Brandon Qualischefski from Australia advanced from the Open Division. Ciach led the squad with 701, with Qualischefski a mere six pins behind in second position.

Also Belmo has been bowling in the Dexter Monday Sweeper at the Mini-Eliminator

Don Fowler from Overland Park, Kan., rolled games of 248 and 258 to win the first of two Dexter Sweepers Monday evening in the 13th Annual Mini-Eliminator Center in Las Vegas. Fowler was the sole player to crack the 500-bar with 503 to win the $2,300 first prize. Tournament director Frank Ellenburg (right) presented Fowler with the check.

Ed Smaglik, Lafayette, Ind., was nine pins behind to finish second with 494, worth $1610. Third place belonged to Bryson Rogers, Midvale, Utah, who earned $1200 for his 483 score.

Hong Kong international Wu Siu Hong was the only player, who cashed on both entries. Siu Hong was tied for third and 16th place with 483 and 448 en route to cash $1630. Other international cashers were two-time megabuck champion Lasse Lintilä from Finland and European ranking leader Jason Belmonte from Australia.

There are two days left of qualifying at the 2006 July High Roller as players continue their quest for the Grand Finals. The action is at a fever pitch at Sam's Town Bowling Center in Las Vegas home of the "King of the Megabucks". Bowlers continue to show support for the only tournament in town to offer $1000 daily prizes in their own division.
152 bowlers have now won at least a $1000 prize in four days of qualifying including 48 bowlers who have advanced to the Grand Finals.

Qualifying for the main event continues Friday with squads scheduled for 10 - 11 - Noon - and 1 PM. $20,000 will be awarded to the eventual champion on Saturday.

Best In Division Singles qualifying (7:30 and 9 PM) is also scheduled for Friday. 2006 Storm JULY High Roller

This is all i can find so far.

Chad Nelson of Owatonna, MN (39 & Under) is the 2006 July High Roller Champion! Nelson rolled a 226 in the Shootout Round, topping Ed Roberts of Braintree, MA., the 60 & Over finalist. Nelson took home the $20,000 top prize. Roberts rolled a 214 in a tightly contested matchup and cashed for $12,500.

Brian Wallace (205 & under) of Lexington, KY was third (182 - $7500), and Marty Hinton (40 & Over of Las Vegas, NV was fourth ($5000).

Nelson is no stranger to big High Roller checks. He cashed for $19,000 in the 2003 Storm Challenge also held at Sam's Town.

An incredible 228 bowlers won at least a $1000 prize in the main event including 68 bowlers who advanced to the Grand Finals. Four bowlers won at least a $1000 prize in the Best In Division Singles.
