2010 Schweppes Sports Series

Oz Tenpin are pleased to announce Schweppes as the naming sponsor for the 2010 Sports Series. This will bring added value to the tournament series by allowing us to keep entry fees low while still offering a good payout structure.

Please find attached the 2010 Schweppes Sports Series calendar of events. Where possible we have tried to avoid clashes with National Adult/Youth/Senior events, roll-offs, state based tournaments and ATBSOV events.

Formats and patterns will be announced closer to the date of each event. For the 2010 series we will be using the WTBA group of patterns.

We are also pleased to announce Michael Rollo will be taking over as Series Tournament Director to run each event and there will be a Technical Supervisor who will work with host centres to select patterns and take tape readings to ensure correct laying of conditions.

There will be a couple of changes to the 2010 calendar.

We are just confirming venues for Event 4 (July) and Event 6 (November) and will let you know as soon as this is done.

Meanwhile, here's a 2010 Yearbook for the events so far. 71 different bowlers have competed across 2 events! Am trying to arrange a bonus prize for the top average bowler at the end of the 6 single day events. This will be based on a minimum of 32 games (4 events).

Thank you to all the bowlers who have taken part in the VSS over the past couple of years. Your support has helped this series grow larger each year. Lets keep it up!
