Come on guys and gals who want to bowl in a National format tournament
for bowlers, who are graded bowlers and want to compete in a team format representing their zone, South Queensland

Each year South QLD zone travel to the Darell Holt Restricted Challenge with
a teams of 7 players each in the Female and Male divisions, these bowlers are your bowlers who bowl in your local centres week in week out, but would like an opportunity to compete against other zones from all over the nation.

If you are a female with an average of 174 and under, or a Male with an average of 184 and under why not come along to the roll offs and have a go

The roll off format is simple with 7 games being rolled of each day and the top seven in each male and female divisions form the teams to travel away to Belconnen, ACT to compete in the Darrell Holt Restricted Challenge 2009.

What have you got to lose, why not give it a go ?

Anyone who's average is over 184 (men) or 174 (female) and under 199 (m) & 189 (f) are encouraged to roll off for the classic team. The team comprises 3 men & 3 women. Rolloff is in the same format 7 games each day for 2 days.

I am wonderng why SQ bowlers are limited to bowling in only one division of the Challenge roll off?
It states on your entry form that you may only nominate for either restricted or classic yet it also says if a bowler makes both teams the costs are effectively doubled.
Please clarify..

Hi Sunshine, sorry for the delay in my reply.

South Queensland are trying to encourage as many bowlers to roll off as possible to increase the exposure of an already great carnival. In doing so, there is the potential to have a maximum of 20 bowlers across the 2 grades as opposed to a minimum of 14 representing the zone. The Zone Committee believes that this is in the best interest to further promote the Darrell Holt Carnival within our zone.

The payment section was left in due to an oversight but has since been removed.

If you get enough bowlers to get 20 across the team great. but if not your shooting yourself in the foot.

I will be nominating but not sure yet to which one. :)

Hey Chucky

Bowl where you think you will be do your best. Early indications so far tell me we will get the numbers.

Hey Chris

Yes, it is 21st @ Chermside & 22nd @ Mt Gravatt. It's right on the forms but I got it wrong on the post.

I just want to remind everyone that team nominations close on Friday 13th. We will accept nominations received after this date as long as they were posted by Friday.

Good Luck to all those fellow Queenslanders rolling off this weekend. Hope to see you all down In Canberra. MEL (NQ):)
