    Bowling after surgery.

Roy is right, I wouldn't even attempt to bowl after surgery until I had my Doctors clearance to do so. the last thing you want to do, is aggravate it, especially a hernia. Not something you should muck around with. When you do start bowling again, ease back into it, don't go full on, your body...

    No thumb rule change.

It doesn't say that covering the thumb hole with the palm isn't allowed, it says that it doesn't count as "Gripping". The guideline is actually to have the palm cover the thumb hole so that the unused Thumb Hole is drilled in the correct place where it should be.

    DRILLING DEPTH

^This. I have a finger hole drilled Normally, then deeper with a smaller bit to take out finger weight for static balance. It'll be wonderful when they finally do away with static weight balance rules...

    WSOB

Honestly, that would have annoyed me more... I like watching the telecasts not knowing who is gonna win. I mean, would you want to watch the Olympics knowing who won the medals before you started watching? Watching bowling and getting to the tenth frame and the guy needs a strike to win, if...

    WSOB

But it's gonna kill you to write the word Spoilers in the title? Some people like not knowing the results to things coming up on TV, but still want to visit the site for other discussions about bowling, there's no need to completely black out all bowling related sites on the possibility that...

    Unaccredited Coaches

I'm gonna weigh in, Interesting thread with some very good points on both sides. Just to clarify up front, I am a TBA Level 1 Accredited coach (for now at least, gonna run out very soon) Simple fact is, they do it because people like to see the little tag around your neck saying you're a...

    Why is Tenpin bowling declining?

On Edit: after reading the post that went in while I was writing mine.. I'm with you on 9 pin, I've said this before, I have had massive amounts of fun bowling kegel 9 pin in Coffs before, and I have gotten a strike in it too, was really exciting too! Here's an interesting thought about ball...

    Kegel Bowling

I can vouch for how much fun this is, I went up to Coffs for a holiday a few years back, and went to have a go at this, lots of fun and very challenging, makes you really appreciate how easy tenpin really is... The guys at the centre are really great, they even invited me back for league later...

    What do you do?

Best thing to do is to go right back to the basics. Work on your fundamentals, once you have them down, your confidence should start to return.

Best Low Hook Balls for Lanes with Little Oil????

I agree with Androooo, I did that with an old Storm Spit Fire, and it really smooths out the mid lane reaction, with a nice "urethane" like motion on the back end. Great if you throw with a lot of revs on drier lane conditions.

    2012 bathurst Pitstop

I am really looking forward to this, made me upset to miss it last year. It's a great tournament run by some great people in a great town. It would be awesome to have a full roster for this one! Everyone should come and support this tournament, and say a big thanks to Bathurst Real Estate for...

Which is the better bowling performance?

I have to say, in the context of the question, and relating to tournament qualifying, Highest pin fall wins out, no question. However, objectively speaking, removing the situation, if you showed me the scores from bowler "A" and "B" side by side, and asked which was the better bowler, I would...

    Leaving corner pins

Roy Pretty much has it right there... It has a lot to do with entry angle. I find that when I start leaving corner pins, I will make a drastic move (i.e. if I am playing from outside with a very big entry angle, I will move to deep inside and have the ball "straighten up" at the pocket, rather...

Can a bowler be truly successful without coaching?

I'm with Jason, You could be successfull, sure, but with coaching you can be even better, much faster. I know that had I got coaching early on, I could have avoided years of "Figuring things out" and not developed a few very bad habits (which I now pay for and am constantly working on)...
