    Foxwood Skins and Restricted Skins

So it is. Says so right under the title. Was just checking if anyone had read the entry form. ;) Either my eyes weren't working yesterday or tenpin events have just added this event. :g: They do use a tiny font to fit the enourmous number of tournaments on the one page so maybe it was just me.

    Rachuig Entry Form???

Sounds plausible to me. I guess its mainly the youth who put their hand up for this so it makes sense to make sure they can make the roll-off. We know the older bowlers can't bowl too many games else their bodies start to fall apart. :wheelchair: It's all downhill once you hit 30. Any guesses...

    Foxwood Skins and Restricted Skins

I took a break for a while there so I don't know the story other than AMF withdrew its support of the site. I don't really want to go over it again if its been done before but is it that AMF won't allow their tournaments to be advertised here or that totalbowling won't allow them? I certainly...

    Rachuig Entry Form???

It appears the secret society has heard people have been speaking about this rolloff and have taken action! Just to confuse anyone who may have heard and considered entering, the entry form that can be downloaded from the TBAWA website says roll-offs are on 1st and 2nd of may, whereas the...

    Foxwood Skins and Restricted Skins

I'm up for it. Put me down for the open skins. I'm surprised the entry form hasn't been posted on here. I haven't seen any entry forms for other local tournaments on here either. Is their a reason tournament directors don't post them or doesn't totalbowling accept entry forms being posted...

    Rachuig Entry Form???

I was just on the TBA tenpin events page and saw that the WA Rachuig Teams 2010 Roll Off is on Sat 01 May Sun 02 May Joondalup/Morley WA. The thing is I can't find an entry form anywhere. I can't find it on this site, the tenpin events site and the tbawa link is dead. I went into a bowling...

    Change in lane conditions

Lanes were very different last night at Joondalup. A lot of skid down the middle and long too. First time this season I had to move. Didn't do my ridiculous avg any good, however I can adjust nowadays (still a bit slow) and managed 11 in a row (end 6, first 5) to stop the rot. Does anyone know...

    Joondalup March Roll Off Results

Any chance of getting these kind of events posted on here to keep bowlers up to date? I found out about it by chance at the last minute. As usual the numbers were low, but I didn't expect anything would have changed over the last few years. Is this event going to be held at regular intervals...

    Joondalup Bowl now open

This place is Disneyland I tell you. Its been years since I bowled any good. Just started a couple of months ago and starting to get a rythm. Last 3 weeks around 680 a night. 5+ strings of strikes most games. Looking forward to another 300 soon :)

What will the tournament scene look like this year?

Is there going to be a tournament calender for this year or is it a pointless exercise? Is the tournament scene be non existent? We have lost most of our best tournaments in the last few years and they haven't been replaced. This is very sad for all our bowlers who like to compete, but can't...

    Rachuig 2006

I haven't followed bowling for ages but I guess the reason for 'lack lustre' performance is very simply: Lack of talent or Lack of time or Lack of money If the players lack any of these then the performance is likely to be lack lustre. I currently lack all 3. I wonder what Ian lacks...

    2006 Western Australian Open Masters

Where was it held? I have become ignorant in my semi retirement. Those scores look too good to be true. I really am impressed with the results these young guys are getting for all their training. I think I might get serious and get a coach too. Or maybe not.

    amf craigie classis scratch singles

I haven't bowled a league up there since before it became AMF and I'm casually looking for a league so I would be interested. At $35 a week I would have to get permission from the other half tho :(

Should locals get an advantage for National events?

I am a fence sitter. Often I just make up the numbers, especially lately as I can't afford to keep up to date equipment and there isn't enough tournaments in the West to bother training for. Which is one good reason to put the pattern down early. To give those who aren't in the running a...

    future of skins league

I don't know how many youth events there are but if the combined adult and youth events clash too often meaning the competition can't be held at a regular interval, then using the format I suggested we should just make it say the first sunday of the month and forget about trying to schedule...

    future of skins league

As a league it doesn't seem to be working, every 3rd or 4th bowler doesn't turn up which makes me feel disappointed. Maybe it should be a new competition each month with the first 24 people signed up (and paid?) to compete. Someone who might not want to bowl every month or doesn't think they...

    World Bowling is changing

From what I can see this is just for a small portion of competitive bowlers right? That shouldn't have a great affect on most ppl. When I was a kid bowling in 1984 those bowlers with 195+ avgs were heros and if someone got a 300 it was like a dream come true. When I first got my hands on a...

A new way to fleece us????

I think the bowl should remember what EFTPOS is for. It is a way to encourage people to use your service. Why does nearly every shop in Australia offer EFTPOS? Its because if they only accepted cash, people would go elsewhere. Same goes with the bowl. And to Neville: If I go to a center and...

    Tenpin bowling gets a MacMakeover......

I have no problem with bars cafes and restaurants. As mentioned earlier it is a catch 22 situation (to a degree). To get more league bowlers you need people to experience bowling in some form. But there is something very sadly missing. Kids play aussie rules with their mates and dream of...
