Bowled in a tournament this weekend, and would have cashed if my sparing was up to scratch. According to the stats I keep, I've missed 18% of my spares over 66 league games in the last few months... and I missed 25% in the 10 games yesterday. I'm really not happy with either stat, but I don't...

Just got back... ye gods, what a horror. Top qualifier was Paul Trotter with 1966, 15th was 1786. Scary lanes. I would have made the cut if I'd spared 3 of my TWENTY FIVE open frames :(

Sign me up as well, haven't had any luck finding this around. Looks like it's still showing in the US, on a very limited selection of screens (obviously not a hollywood blockbuster). Can't find any info on a DVD release, though, and I doubt anywhere in Australia will ever show it :(

I just ditched Foxtel last month, and now they put some interesting bowling on? Bastards :D Hopefully the person I asked remembered to tape it for me.

Thanks to Brenton Davy redrilling the damn thing, I finally got to use it this week. I bowl with a fairly high track, mediumish revs, high speed, so I don't move the ball all that much. Ended up getting a Goliath to give me some sort of option on oil. Drilling is similar to 2E on Brunswick's...

Hurraay, finally got my Brunswick BVP Goliath, after a month and a half of messing about. Only threw 10-15 shots with it, still sick with flu, but it certainly didn't mind the crazy oilmonsters that live at Village Bowl nowadays. Definitely recommended if you run into nasty amounts of oil.

Tomorrow evening and I finally get my Goliath back, hurrah! My Nemesis should also be in, hopefully I get them both drilled and usable :rolleyes: Bring on the oil!

Years ago, I showed up at bowling a bit late, raced to get my ball out, find my wrist brace, put it together..... got up to bowl, step step step SPLAT. Remembering to change your shoes tends to help :confused:

Did something similar last week... luckily we'd finished late, and most of the people were gone. Forgot to zip up the bag, picked up the handle, went up some steps...... CLONK CLONK rollrollroll THUNK. How embarassment :confused:

The Wednesday night league I bowl in had light-medium oil for the last 3 months or so, fairly similar each week... then this week, it was fairly heavy oil across the whole lane, with a fair bit of carrydown (school holiday scariness?). The league currently has two bowlers who average over 200...

I've been back bowling for a few months now, and am holding a 193 average. Only using one ball currently, my maroon Track Stomp, which doesn't seem to do much of anything on heavier oil. I like how it behaves on light-medium oil, so I would prefer not to mess with the surface/etc of it...

I'll use whatever suits me, no allegiance to any specific manufacturer. I currently have an oldish Track Stomp and a day old Brunswick BVP Goliath, with an Ebonite Blue Wolf lurking in my bag until I decide what to do with it :)

I do! Originally got it drilled in 1998 or 1999, but hated the drilling (not a fan of skid/flop and weak hits). Got it redrilled a few months ago when I started bowling again, and love it :)

BVP Goliath... which I'll eventually get to use. Latest issue is the thumb slug cracking down the bottom (!) while being drilled. Doobeedoo :D

Well, I never did decide on this. It seems that you can get 12 strikes per game, while only ever having 10 spares or 10 opens. Should only the first part of the 10th frame count? Does X63 in the 10th count as open? I'm a little rusty :)

I've only just started bowling again, and have been working on my own webapp to keep track of my scores (and atrocious sparing ability). Unsure if anyone else would be interested, as it's not much use if you don't keep track of your frame scores :) Screenshots here
