    VSS Event no.4. in BENDIGO.

Hi Wayne Enjoyed my time at Bendigo in Rachuig trials six odd years back so I don't think it will be a trip down the Highway to Hell but we will see. Lol. I apologise if you already saw this post initially as I was entering but remembered my managers commitments with the ECCC prevent me from...

    Rachuig Politics

I would suggest the following changes to Rachuig qualifying for all states: NO SELECTION! Roll off and make the top 7 or you are not in the team period! There are too many exemptions to rules which makes it very unattractive for a lot of bowlers to even bother to try out. If you are not good...

    Passing of Carole Woodward

Sorry but have not been on the forums for awhile. To Dave, Scotty and Paul deepest sympathies from myself and the rest of the Silva family. Carole will be missed deeply by all of us and especially those involved in the ECCC. Rest in peace Carole and may the pin gods be with you.

how untidy is your bowling bag?

Although I thought I kept mine clean, I pulled everything out a couple of months back and found dried up skin patch, some old thumb tape backings, and an enormous amount of scoresheets from tournaments some dating three or four years back when I bowled the ranked circuit. Needless to say it...

    MICHAEL JACKSON DIES AGED 50

RIP - Michael Jackson We will be forever in your debt for the music you blessed the world with. The tragedy of missing out on your feted comeback concerts which will deny the world a fitting final chapter of your life. You should be remebered for what you were, the king of pop, but...

    300 Games

I suggest that those who don't find one of there's listed and who have the certificate / plaque etc from TBA or the TBA recognised body that provided it, send a scan or digital photograph of it to Ian so he can chase up the missing paperwork. However, I noticed that a few bowlers have thought...

AMF to close Creches in all VIC Centers

Just shows the problem we have we government thinking they are improving things all the time when they only ever seem to stuff existing good things up. Vale the day leagues at AMF centres I guess another funeral for AMF bowlers to not attend!

    Change in Handicap system

The league will have to put the back dating to a vote and even if it passes I think it is against association rules. They should only introduce the new handicap system if they must after a full league vote from the first week after the vote is taken that is if it passes.

    TotalBowling and AMF part ways...

Hey Jason Thanks for posting those performance stats. The biggest problem I can see is that Macquarie seem to be behind the eight ball by about six to 12 months on their promotion of bowling as both a sport and recreation. They seem to be adept at cost cutting without thoroughly...

    How long is too long?

Tonx I'm sure you owuld have been sent a notice to pursue funds through a collection agency by Macquarie if it was the other way around by now. Now if the amount is worth the expense then if I were you I would speak to your solicitor and ask him give them a friendly freminder of their...

Sadly Northcote Bowl is no more!

Thoroughly concur Wayne. Although Northcote is gone my adopted home centre of Chadstone has served me well like Keon Park has done so for you. It has been a pleasure bowling with a lot of Northocte bowling royalty over the years and that is what we all are going to miss.

Do You Know What a "Ditch" is?

Did you compose this while having the shots or while waiting in the blocked lane? Seriously though it would be a good idea for the newbies to bowling to put up a solid explanation for them to peruse.

Sadly Northcote Bowl is no more!

After 46 years of operating as one of Victoria's premier bowling centres Northcote Bowl closed it doors for the final time last night at 9PM. A group of loyal and nostalgic Northcote stalwarts paid $15.00 to bowl at will and enjoy finger food from 5pm to around 8:30pm when the final...

Greatest Australian Lefty of all time?

If we were looking at entertainment while on the lanes Lovell wins hands down but for pure coolness and stroking class Allsop is my pick.
