Brenton Davy was drilling one at Noarlunga two weeks ago. Dunno if that helps at all. The teal colour reminded me of the finish of those Japanese Mikasa balls.

Seven Sports Trying For The 2016 Olympics - Bowling NOT Among Them!!!!!

Yet apparently the list of "sports" recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) includes the card game bridge, chess, and lifesaving. Kinda makes one wonder :( See http://www.olympic.org/uk/sports/recognized/index_uk.asp

    How long should leagues run

My Thursday league has two cycles each year, usually lasting between 20 and 26 weeks each. Personally I believe a Jan to Dec cycle is far too long.

For all the complainers out there

Temporarily in the UK - 8 weeks so far. Bowl regularly at two different alleys in large towns - Crawley and Tunbridge Wells. Both alleys are reasonably large, one has 24 synthetic lanes, the other has 26 synthetics. Neither sell any kind of bowlers supplies whatsoever. I asked for white tape...

Looking to get long thin hole drilled through bowling ball in Sydney NSW

Just been to Supercheap Autos. Whilst there I noticed a drill bit long enough to get right through a ball. It was a masonry bit though so I don't know how well that would work. It was approx 5mm in diameter so size-wise should suit your purpose. Having seen that there is one long enough I...

    Rough Bowling Balls strike out

Maybe the answer isn't in trying to stymie ball development - maybe it's the scoring system that needs an overhaul. Instead of rolling the scores over onto the next frame perhaps each frame should be it's own entity, much in the same way the 10th frame is currently treated. A 300 game made...

What effect does Methylated spirits have on coverstocks?

I wondered whether that might be the case. It would have potential ramifications for any of our international bowlers if the TBA were not in step with the USBC though.
