Restricted Challenge Teams

I have rolled off at every roll off I could for the last 5 - 10 years. Always has been a roll off for the mens, never seen a complete field for the ladies though.
Didn't nominated last year for it was nomination, and I didn't have any faith in the system, or selectors, and was told by one of the selectors "If you don't have faith in the selection committee , you wouldn't nominate, would you?".
So I don't quite see your entire point being correct.
IMHO.

Be an ex Tasmanian dont know much about it So What is the critteria to consider for the Teams and how the teams are pick it up

We neeed to get some facts straight here.

Firstly, It is only in very recent years we have had roll-offs. For years we decided our teams on pure selection and usually they won or came second.

And as for suggesting that all Associations have the same selection criteria it is hardly possible when Brisbane and the Gold Coast have multiple Centres to contend with and the other Associations have only the one.

All the others have the luxury of being a Home centre to their Teams.

Regarding Mt Warren and its future in the GC Region, we see no reason to ask Mt Warren to leave the region. Mt Warren was originally admitted a few years ago to accommodate the Junior Intershield. It seemed only logical to include the Adults too. Neither the State government nor TBA or TBAQ sets the boundaries of Regional Associations in Qld. Thankfully that is left to the local bodies to settle.

So now you have a few facts you can all carry on squabbling again.

Andrew, we seem to be off topic here, this is a thread about RESTRICTED Challenge Team at the nationals.

Love to bowl this year at them but i am still recovering from a knee replacement, maybe next year Andrew

,

Correct me If I am wrong Andrew but I can remeber rolling off over 2 days at Paradise/Legends & Nerang bowl. How long have they been gone for , but only "very" recent years????:confused:

You little ripper! I was unsure what the go was in regards to this but thanx Andrew for the info.

Ask Shinney on friday night Joseph.
Craig

****en Novel idea Craig…You could have done the same thing before posting what you did below…Was it too difficult to ask Jim or Andrew in your Friday night league, or if you were away then you could have sent them a PM…But no you chose with your narrow minded group of friends to bring it here…

I'm still wondering why the Gold Coast team only had 6 men? What happened to Jason P?
Might have done better with extra bowler to chose from?

Take your own advice in future before bringing **** to an open forum…

I tend to agree with JP here.
It would have been more amicable had these questions been asked off-line first.

Andrew,
I can't understand why everyone’s so sensitive over a simple question.
Instead of jumping down Craig’s throat for daring to ask a question in a public forum (which could help stop rumors from starting in the first place), why couldn't anyone give a simple answer.
Here is what should of been the answer to Craig’s question. Jase could not bowl due to unforeseen circumstances, and because of "insert reason here" that was why we didn't ask the 2nd reserve to bowl. Now the reason might be perfectly logical i.e. there wasn't enough time to re-organize accommodation or such, but it looks like people would rather start flaming instead of giving an answer.
By the way there is no need to answer the question now as I think it’s gotten a bit out of hand, as it is a bit of a sore point with some people.
Regards,
Paul Downham

Liz we're still gathering names. We have a start and hopefully we will be able to raise one Queensland side but it seems unlikely there will be an invitational side.
Still waiting for some names to come in but we will post when we get some more concrete info.

Come on you Queenslanders. Are you afraid of some competition? A week in Sunny!!! Canberra at the Nationals - guaranteed 18 games in the Challenge plus Restricted Cup and all events at the National Championships. You could be an Australian Champion...

Andrew seems to be trying to get some interest going for this team but support seems to be very weak. I thought Queenslanders were passionate for bowling but may be they aren't - prove me wrong.
