Two time Super Six Champion Paul Trotter has won the first event in the 2004 AMF Super Six Series by taking out the South Australian Cup at AMF Woodville this afternoon.

Trotter was leading with one game to go from 2nd placed Mac Stewart by 36 pins. They were matched up against each other in the final game of Matchplay. Going into the 10th frame the scores were fairly even, however both bowlers left a 3-10 split. Stewart missed his spare, and with Andrew McArthur just finished bowling a 226 game on the next pair, Trotter had to spare his to win the tournament. He managed to spare it comfortably, and threw a strike on the fill ball to win by 17 pins and take the win. McArthur from NT finished in 2nd place, and a fast finishing Jarrod Lean from NSW ended in 3rd, relegating overnight leader Mac Stewart to 4th place.

After qualifying in 2nd place overnight, Trotter averaged 215.4 in Matchplay and finished with a 7-1-7 (W-D-L) Matchplay record. McArthur had 11-0-4 Matchplay record, whilst 3rd placed Lean finished with the highest Matchplay average - 220.53 and an 8-0-7 Matchplay record.

Congratulations to Paul Trotter on his well deserved victory. Looks like another fantastic year is in the works for Trotts.
