Firstly, Congratulations to New South Wales on their clean sweep. :D

It was my first Rachuig this year & I just wanted to say that I had a great time. :)

Alot of people told me that i wouldn't enjoy Rachuig because it was really quiet, :( but I had heaps of fun & there was plenty of noise.
I met heaps of great people out of it, & Victoria came 3rd & Overall which was a great effort.

I think that North QLD changed Rachuig for the better. They started the noise & everyone just kept it going. The Guys & Girls of Nth QLD, I say well done & your all a great bunch of people. I hope to see you in Melbourne next year. :D

I also wanted to Congratulate Narelle on her win in the Masters. It was beautiful to watch. You deserved it. Well Done. :D

And to Our Captain Lisa, thanks for a great effort, you made a great captain, you did everything the way you should've & I was proud to be in your team.

Hope to see everyone in Melbourne next year!

NSW Rachuig win

I would just like to take the opportunity to say congratulations to the NSW Rachuig teams - truly a world class team effort.

I would also like to thank the South Qld Rachuig bowlers for a great effort to finish in second place both the Mens and Ladies teams. I felt this was one of the best teams I have had the pleasure to be part of. I have great respect for all of you - well done. I enjoyed my time on and off the lanes for the first time in all of the years I have coached the Mens Team. Thank you Morty, David T, David W, Phil, Zane, Warney, Chris, Peter our sport therapist and Wayne our Manager.

It was great catching up with old friends and new ones.

New Zealand and North Qld were welcomed to Rachuig. You are adding that special element to the competition and will be already planning the next steps to prepare for next year.

Thank you TBA and Kirwan Lanes for a great tournament and conditions - Rachuig - There is no other tournament like this one in the world.

THe six games a day was an easy pace with lane conditioning after 3 games - worked well.

Congrats to everyone!

Hey

What can we say? New South Wales are the best every time. Although, i bet alot of teams thought they could cut it.. Again, not this time.. But still, they had to bowl the balls didnt they. They are truly fantastic. WELL DONE TO ALL FROM NSW! :)

I would like to say a big CONGRATS to everyone that participated in this years Walter Rachuig Tournament.

This was my 5th Rachuig, i have to say it was my personal best to be involved in. The sportsmanship from EVERY team and player was fantastic.

Altho my team didnt do all that well, we still tried our guts out. Maybe with different attitudes it all could have been different. Easy to say afterwards isnt it...

Again, well done to all that bowled! It was a pleasure meeting new people and seeing the old ones again!

Cheers
Martina

PS - To 2 of my dearest friends, Em and KC.
Thanks for a great week, I miss you heaps already!

Well, like the Virgin Bride on her wedding night NQ has done it for the first time (Competed in Rachuig that is :D :D :D :D )

During the course of the week we got to meet heaps of great new people, as well as catch up with lots of old friend (e.g Andrew Lloyd who I hadn't seen for 17 years - You're still a gun Lloydy!!)

Now that we (NQ) have seen first hand what makes the good teams great, we have taken a heaps of positives away and are already working at being more of a force in Melbourne 2004.

The one thing that stood out for me was the great sportsmanship between almost all of the teams. Everyone wanted to win, but there was always time for a chat about bowling, drinking etc and I got a chance to get to know some really amazing people, who I am very much looking forward to seeing again in Melbourne.

Once again to all of the other teams thanks for a really great tournament, and I look forward to seeing you around the traps.

Cheers

I would like to congratulate NSW on their fine wins.... The mens team in particular was one of the strongest teams I have ever seen, and quite possibly could have been stronger with the like of Belmo and Jarrod Lean in there too.

I would also like to thank everyone that helped make my first Rachuig a wonderful experience. It is one memory that I will never forget. I met a lot of people that I hope I will see in the future... at Rachuig, and tournaments.

It was great to be apart of Team NSW this year. To win a Rachuig is always special, but when you clean sweep the tournament it makes the feeling so much better.

I would like to congratulate my team mates and the women's team on a magnificent effort over the three days. Having five men and three women in the top 10 averages for Rachuig shows how well we all bowled.

A huge congrats goes to my great mate Andrew "Webba" Lloyd on winning the Australian Open Masters, you bowled well all week.

To have North Queensland and NZ in rachuig this year was great to have and a first for this awesome event. Nth Queensland supporters should be very proud of their teams as they performed extremely well.

GAME ON in Melbourne 2004.
