Final results of today’s MASTERS events – in which Gold medal won by Shaik Abdul Hameed from India, are now posted on the Championships website - www.stba.org.uk. Nick Froggatt of England won Silver, and Jason Belmonte of Australia, Bronze.

In the Masters Women’s division, Donna Adams from England won Gold, with Australians Ann-Maree Putney and Natalie Shelley taking Silver and Bronze medals respectively.

Final medal tally for the Championships is as follows:-

England - 7 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze
India - 2 Gold and 1 silver
Australia - 1 Gold, 6 Silver, and 5 Bronze
Northern Ireland - 1 Silver
Malta - 2 Bronze
Brunei - 1 Bronze
Canada - 1 Bronze
Malaysia - 1 Bronze

15 Commonwealth countries sent teams of 2 men and 2 women bowlers to compete in this inaugural Commonwealth Championship.

The next Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championship will be held in Cyprus in February, 2004.
 
The Commonwealth Championship is over in Scotland and Australia had a successful tournament, missing out on medals in only one event - the mens doubles. Below is a tally of Australia's performances throughout the event.

In all, Australia picked up 1 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze.
