Gold Cup Suggestion

I heard last night that there are 11 mens teams already for the Gold Cup, so expect a roll-off to happen for the last spot. On the other hand I have heard there may only be 8 womens teams total.
How's this for a suggestion:
Combine the men and women into one field until 24 teams are reached, that brings the total number of teams back to the good old days.
We play a total of 23 games (Instead of the usual 22):
8 on day 1 and 2 and 7 on day 3 with 1 game being played against each team.
Structure the payout on the ratio of mens teams against womens teams.
The women get paid out on where they finish against each other, irrespective of the mens placings and their overall placings.
It's only a suggestion but at least it will fill the house and re-create the atmosphere of old and do away with that obnoxious "bye" if there is an odd number of womens teams this year.
You never know, the ladies may spring a few surprises as well if they get a chance to have a go at the guys.
