Belmo wins first GOLD of World Youth Champs!

Jason Belmonte of Australia rolled 1316 to win the first gold medal of the 8th World Youth Championships at Central Lanes in Agana, Guam. Competing in the boy's singles, the first event of the competition, Belmonte bowled his score in the first squad of the day. 27 countries are taking part in the competition for youth that have not reached their 23rd birthday on January 1, 2004. David O'Sullivan of the United States of America earned the silver medal with a 1247 score which included the high game of the event, 276. Paul Stott of Ireland won the bronze with 1246.

and just a bad luck to Brando Quala, i heard that he had an accident in which he fell over and landed on his right hand, which resulted in one of his bowling fingers to produce a HUGE blood blister. they got the blood out but still Brando could only bowl with 1 finger and his thumb so he could not bowl to his full potential.
