The 2012 Tasmanian Masters was held today at Moonah Bowl & congratulations to Andrew Phillips and Kassey Fechner who both came from behind with one game to go to claim the Masters title.
Andrew who has been concentrating on his golf game over the past few years, started slowly with a 137 game and then proceeded to win 7 of the next 8 games to finish 2nd behind Norm Green going in to the positional round. Norm, who had led for most of the tournament went in to the final with a 76 pin lead, but Andrew's 252 and 30 bonus pins for the win saw him overtake Norm to win the title by 8 pins in an exciting finale to the tournament.
In the womens final, Kassey Fechner and Allison Oakley shared the lead during the final with Allison taking a 10 pin lead in to the final game. Kassey finished with a solid game of 200 to pass Allison and win her 3rd State Masters title by 23 pins.
Congratulations also to Clint Brown & Rachael Kean for the victories in the Restricted Cup and to Ted Tylutki & Julie Sculthorpe for their Seniors Cup titles in last weeks finals.
