Arty’s Concreting presents the Caboolture Scratch Doubles
When: Sunday 30th March 2008
Where: Caboolture Bowl
Cost: $350 per team / $175 per bolwer
Teams who pay a deposit will secure their spot over those who haven't.
Open to: This is a TBA Accredited tournament and is open to TBA registered bowlers
No. of Games: 30 per team / 15 each (minimum)
Time: Squad Check In 8:30am / Bowl 8:45am
No. Of Teams: Maximum of 16 Teams with 2 reserve teams

Rules & Regulations:
1. All TBA Rules & Regulations will apply
2. Must be a 2008 TBA registered player
3. This is a scratch tournament
4. Field is limited to 16 teams of 2 bolwers & 2 reserve teams
5. Teams who have not paid a deposit will not have a spot reserved/secured for them
6. Anyone failing to check-in on time can be replaced the first available team
7. In case of a points tie, pinfall differential will count, if still a tie after that scratch average will be used.
8. Neat attire must be worn, Men: Collared shirt and dress pants. Women: Collared shirt and skirt or dress shorts. (Common Sense applies)
9. No smoking or drinking will be permitted during competition play.
10. Any matter not addressed here will be left to the tournament director’s discretion
11. No unsportsman like behaviour will be tolerated
Payout Odds: 1:3 payout
Prize Money: $4900.00 (Based on 16 teams)
1st $1500.00
2nd $1200.00
3rd $900.00
4th $700.00
5th $500.00
Plus $100.00 to the highest team scratch game outside of the money placings
All prize money is paid per team
Format
Each team will bowl every other team once in a 15 game head to head matchplay.
At the conclusion of the 15 games matchplay the top 5 teams on POINTS total will contest a playoff style system based on the old rugby league style format.
Matchplay Points – 1 Point per head to head game / 2 points for the series / Total points that can be won each game is 4
Playoff Points – The points will work the same way as in the matchplay, with the team with the highest points winning the game
Playoffs
Match A – 4th Vs 5th (Loser Out)
Match B – 2nd Vs 3rd
Match C – Winner match A Vs Loser match B (Loser Out)
Match D – 1st Vs Winner match B (Winner through to final)
Match E – Winner match C Vs Loser match D (Loser Out)
Match F – Winner match D Vs Winner match E

This is a great format, first time a big doubles event has been around especially in Queensland. Any team combination could win, great fun for everyone. 32 top bowlers going hammer & tong to see who is the ultimate champion.
