The Launceston Masters final were held today and congratulations go out to Hayden George for winning his third Masters title in a row and Jane Gibbons for taking out the ladies title.

In a high scoring final, Hayden finished strongly in the final block with games of 248 & 259 to overtake tournament leader Damian Crick and win the title by 24 pins with a very impressive 227 average. Damian took the lead in game 6 with a 245 and consolidated his lead with a 268 in game 7 only to see Hayden overrun him in the final game. Garry Crick also had a big finish with games of 227 & 258 to finish 3rd with a 222 average. Jane put in a solid performance to average 200 and finish 125 pins in front of Sara Peck.

In the Restricted Masters final, Wally Menzies and Sue Tabrett were victorious in close finishes in both finals. There were only 68 pins between 1st and 6th in the men's division with Wally holding on to win by 34 pins from Glen Gibbons. Scott Taylor & Wade Pitchford tied for 3rd a further 4 pins in arrears. In the ladies final, there were only 39 pins between 1st & 5th with Sue taking out the title by 18 pins from Lyn Hawkes with Mikaylah Berwick a further 5 pins behind in 3rd place.
