If you're looking for wineries take a day trip out to the barossa valley, there's usually one or two going from the city. The bigger wineries like wolf blass and Penfolds out at Nurioopta, and Peter Lehmanns in Tanunda are good to see but lack the character of some of the smaller wineries only...

I think a lot of the atmosphere comes from people getting to know each other and being more comfortable to drop the odd shoulder in or sit on the oppositions lap in Hamma's case. Start getting more familiarity between the country and city bowlers and you may see a lift.
