Great post Andrew S I am sorry if I did not explain myself fully. I am on our local board and am frustrated in trying to support TBA and get the local bowlers to join up. I was hoping this latest announcement could give me the ammunition to go out and "sell" In our bowl it is voluntary...

It's not the fees, it is what you get in return.

Craig You are right. They have us over a barrel. We love to bowl, and therefore have to pay. It just leaves a sour taste in your mouth to have to give it to an association that gives nothing back, but words. As Wayne said - it's not the money. Just the principal of being conned.

The difference with your local cricket club and the TBA, is that it stays local. You are right, with the TBA it goes into the big black hole. Reading what TBA are going to do with the money (on their web site) shows very little change back to the bowler. Very disappointing.

Craig For the amount that we got from TBA (and I agree with your interpretation of consistency) for sanctioning to go up, is a discrace. They would be better off lowering the fees, giving a little back to the bowlers, and getting more involved with the average bowler.

And it is going to only get harder, with the recent announcement from TBA that all sanctioning fees is going to go up.

Or a chance to just whinge. I think this is about the 1,000,000,000 post about this topic. It's fine to have an opinion, but there are many reasons as to why the comp is like it is. As Paige said. If you wish to know the rules of the competition, then contact the TBA.

After my last effort on ther ramp challenge, I had to get back in the team. Couldn't get humiliated again.
